Occupational Immunity Blood Test
This package is designed for individuals who need to confirm their immunity status for work, training or placement requirements, particularly in healthcare, education or other regulated environments.
The blood tests check immunity to common infectious diseases such as measles, mumps, rubella, varicella (chickenpox) and hepatitis B, as well as HIV status where required. The results can help confirm whether you have existing immunity or may need vaccination or further follow-up, supporting occupational health clearance and compliance with workplace requirements.
£275.00RRP
This package includes:
An MMR blood test checks whether you are protected against these three viral infections: mumps, measles and rubella.
The blood test works by looking for antibodies in your blood. If antibodies are present, it usually means that you are immune.
This blood test checks whether you have antibodies to the varicella zoster virus. This is the virus that causes chickenpox and later in life can reactivate as shingles.
This blood test checks whether you are immune to Hepatitis B, a virus that affects the liver.
This blood test checks for HIV. It is called a duo test because it looks for both HIV antibodies and the p24 antigen, which can appear earlier in infection.

Frequently Asked Questions
It is not unusual for some bleeding to occur under the skin following your blood test and sometimes this can extend a little further around the puncture site. If this causes you concern, check with your practice nurse.
Sometimes we cannot get a blood sample from you. This can be for many reasons, such as not being hydrated enough, feeling cold or having another blood test recently. We will always offer you another appointment so we can try again.
