Private ultrasound dating scan optimized for fast results, ideal if you would like to confirm your dates from 8 weeks onwards. We recommend that you present your results to your healthcare professional whose contact details we take at the time of booking. Your choice of a free rescan may be appropriate if we are unable to perform the primary purpose of this scan. Please note this scan is from 8 weeks onwards and must not be booked if you are experiencing any symptoms such as pelvic pain, spotting or bleeding. Please see our Early Scan appointments.
All scans are performed by a qualified Sonographer with diagnostic obstetric scanning experience.
You may have the option to upgrade to the Early or Dating Scans if our Sonographer feels that the babyDATE appointment is inappropriate for your gestation.
Confirmation of fetal gestation, dating of your pregnancy, single or multiple pregnancy confirmation using ultrasound between 8 - 16 weeks gestation, no sexing. This service is not suitable if you are unsure of your dates or you have experienced or are experiencing pelvic pain, spotting, bleeding or lack of pregnancy symptoms.
Option to upgrade to Early scan if our practitioner determines this scan is inappropriate for your gestation and a transvaginal/internal scan is required. Subject to limitations of appointment time, rebooking may be necessary.
Need to expose abdomen so ideally wear 2 piece garment i.e. trousers or skirt and top.
Drink 0.5 Ltr (1 pint) clear fluid approximately 1 hour before appointment time.
Please do not empty your bladder before the examination.
This scan will provide ladies with an affordable scan to check or reconfirm the dating of their pregnancy so far.
It will capture key information allowing ladies to feel reassured and in a position to make key decisions such as sharing the pregnancy with family and friends.
Very rarely, there may be a problem that is totally unexpected and we are the bearers of bad news.
Never easy to hear, we will ensure you have the time, support and a plan of care arranged. We will continue our course of support for as long as you need us.
If you become concerned about any aspect of your scan, the images and recordings you have taken home or you wish to make a complaint, you can contact the clinic where you had your scan and our staff will discuss any concerns that you may have.
In the event of unexpected findings: we will offer clear advice on the next steps available to you and will offer to contact the local hospital on your behalf.
Should you receive bad news in your scan you are welcome to take time in private in our clinics to process the news and gather your thoughts before leaving: we never want you to feel rushed.
