Meet the Team
Ultrasound Direct Territory Managers
Our clinics across the UK are overseen by a team of Territory Managers. They are responsible for the clinical excellence and quality of every clinic, and have a huge range of experience that they can draw on to make sure the Ultrasound Direct team as a whole are providing the best possible scan experience.
Elisha Randell
Territory Manager: East
Elisha qualified as a midwife in 2011 and spent the majority of her NHS career at Birmingham Women’s Hospital. She began her ultrasound career in 2015 and trained as an Obstetrics and Gynaecology Sonographer. She gained a wealth of experience in a busy radiology department and developed a special interest in early pregnancy and fertility. Alongside this, Elisha worked as a Specialist Midwife and Sonographer in a prestigious Fetal Medicine Department as part of the Fetal Cardiology Team.
Elisha has always enjoyed teaching, particularly students on clinical placement, and was invited to guest lecture at Birmingham City University. She went on to complete her master’s degree at the same institution.
She started with Ultrasound Direct in 2019 as a sessional sonographer. After 10 years in the NHS, she became a salaried sonographer with Ultrasound Direct. She progressed to the role of Regional Clinical Lead, then joined the senior management team as Territory Manager for the East. Elisha will be applying her passion for teaching as Ultrasound Direct’s Education and Staff Development Lead.
Michaela Clark
Territory Manager: South
Michaela became the Territory Manager for the South following her role as Regional Ultrasound Manager for the Kent & Essex region. She is also the Designated Safeguarding Lead for Ultrasound Direct.
She is an active member of the Society of Radiographers (SoR) and is currently the elected chair of the South East Regional Executive Committee. This is a group that looks after the industrial, health and safety and learning representatives within the South East. This covers a vast area with over 3,900 members. Michaela has been the Chair of the region for several years. As well as organising meetings and study days to bring all scopes of radiographers together, Michaela is a member of the Ultrasound Advisory Group for the SoR. This group helps guide protocols and policies related to ultrasound. They also help promote sonography as a profession.
Her professional interest is in obstetric scanning, but she is also trained in general medical and enjoys scanning all types of clients and different areas of the body. Michaela particularly enjoys early pregnancy scanning and studying the placenta. She experienced a placental abruption and this has led her to a keen interest in ways to research the placenta and the effects of small changes in blood pressure, diet and lifestyle that have a big impact on the placenta’s efficiency.
